FALL IS PRIME TIME TO FEED YOUR LAWN

September and October are great grass-growing months! You may have noticed your lawn is greener and needs to be mowed more often. That’s your grass responding to cooler temperatures and a little more rainfall than we typically see during the summer.

If you want to give your lawn a great head start next spring, now is the time to fertilize.

Fall fertilizing helps your lawn recover from summer stress while encouraging strong, deep root growth before winter. A well-fed lawn will be more resilient through the colder months and can green up and begin growing 2–4 weeks earlier next spring than a lawn that wasn’t fertilized in the fall.

Did you have crabgrass or other annual weeds this summer? Fall fertilizing can help your existing grass thicken and fill in bare spots, leaving less room for weeds to take hold next spring.

Feed your lawn this fall and set it up for a healthier, greener spring!
